ISE L-shaped tandem
Simulates a 1×1 cm Fraunhofer ISE silicon-perovskite tandem with an L-shaped grid in 3D, combining drift-diffusion and equivalent-circuit models.
This example simulates a laboratory silicon-perovskite tandem cell from Fraunhofer ISE, focusing on an L-shaped metallization pattern. The device is a 1 cm × 1 cm tandem with an L-shaped metal grid and a 2 mm dark perimeter region, modeled in 3D on a quarter-symmetry solution domain using the generic syntax.
Interactive 3D model — rotate, pan, zoom.
It combines drift-diffusion and equivalent-circuit modeling and accounts for perimeter losses, following Fell et al., IEEE JPV vol. 12, no. 6, 2022.
What this example covers:
- 3D quarter-symmetry modeling of a 1×1 cm Si-perovskite tandem with an L-shaped grid
- Geometry definition via the generic syntax
- Combined drift-diffusion + equivalent-circuit modeling with perimeter-loss accounting
