Trina PERC cell
Models a Trina 5-busbar PERC cell from production ramp-up using unit-cell, full-cell multidomain, and shingle geometries with edge effects.
This example models a Trina PERC cell from a production-line ramp-up, with parameters taken from published work. The cell has a 5-busbar layout, and three modeling approaches are shown: a busbar-enhanced unit cell using the front- and rear-contact syntax, a multidomain full-size cell that captures edge effects, and a shingle geometry that also uses the multidomain approach with edge effects.
Interactive 3D model — rotate, pan, zoom.
Together these illustrate moving from a simplified unit-cell representation to full-cell geometries that capture manufacturing realities such as edge losses and busbar effects.
What this example covers:
- A busbar-enhanced PERC unit cell (front/rear contact syntax)
- A full-size-cell multidomain model with edge effects
- A shingle geometry with multidomain modeling and edge effects
